Yesterday the Compton rapper, YG, donated $150,000 to Girl Code LA. The LA-based organization teaches young girls about business, computer science, and software engineering. The donation was inspired by his own daughter. 

“I’m practicing on how to be a good dad right now. This is for the G Code, for the young ladies out there. 

The young coders were also gifted with Beats by Dre headphones to help further their education.
