The makeup mogul, Kylie Jenner, graces the cover of Forbes Magazine as the youngest self-made billionaire. Since the announcement, many readers have questioned the term 'self-made'. Personally I was a bit bothered by the use of the word. No hate, no shade... I'm not knocking her success by any means but I view self-made as not inheriting a great deal of wealth or platform. Although some agree with the language, I do think it was a great conversation starter for pop culture.
What do you think? Peep the discussion below.
Self-made means having succeeded in life unaided.

Used in a sentence: Forbes says that Kylie Jenner is a self-made woman. https://t.co/sr8Ncd7s5A https://t.co/ehEL7Cf6KV
calling kylie jenner a ‘self-made billionaire’ is like claiming you made soup from scratch because you opened a can and reheated it.

She is self made. She took the money she already had and flipped it. There’s a lot of people that are born into money and are do-nothing people so y’all can stay mad if you want. https://t.co/GSlJvjNcr2

See a lot of shade being thrown @kyliejenner’s way because of the Forbes cover.

Whatever your personal feelings may be about her, building a 900M at 20 years old is goddamn impressive. A lot of credit to the team around her.
Instead of hating, use that time to build your own.
