Today Instagram introduced music in stories. You can now add a song to any story post that you share. As we all know Instagram stories is an essential component for brands so this new feature is the perfect way to further connect with your audience.

“Instagram Stories is now used by 400 million every day, and we’re excited to give our community new ways to feel closer to their friends and followers.”

You can find this feature underneath the ‘add a sticker’ icon in Stories. Once the music icon is selected you can search and preview a library of thousands of songs broken down by titles, genre, mood, top trending hits, etc, as well as choose the exact part of the track that fits the desired moment. When Instagram story viewers watch your story they will not only hear the music but also see the artist and song title. 

The new update is currently only available for iOS users and will be available for Android users at a later date.
